I hope you understood only that I only came for Dot’s sake. I have
nothing to do with the society - but Dot held that ^as^ your friend I
ought to try & show you what we who feel strongly on the taking away
the vote from the coloured feel on the matter of this amendment. I
told her to speak you to you herself but she said I must as I could
explain better – which I’m sure I didn’t as I felt so ill
yesterday. I am going to Will’s at Newlands on Monday & will come &
see you soon dear friend.
