Dear Alice

From my long silence you’d never think how I joyed over your letter –
though it had no good news of your coming to see me. Now our good
weather is going over & the wind & heat are beginning.

Are you & Betty still thinking of going to live at Dube’s when your
huts are finished? What of your loom? Is it in this country? Are you
going to use it? I have a fear you’ll both just rush off to England
again & I’ll not see you.

Give my love to our darling Lucy. She & the children are always a
sweet picture in my mind. Has her sister come?

I am getting wonderfully better the last two weeks. The cough is gone.
I never thought I should get as much better again as this. What of all
the plans? Are they maturing? I can

^picture you all together at that lovely Miller’s Point, so happy
together. Good bye, dear. Write me one of your delightful letters soon.

My dear dear love to you & Betty & Lucy
