Dear Alice

I wonder how the world goes with you. Betty never gives us any news.

When are you coming out?

I am staying for the present with Lady Rose Innes, who lives near Mrs
Murrays. I spent 6 delightfull weeks first with my brother & his
family at Newlands. On the 17th I am going out stay at the Hotel at
Milnerton fo if it suits me to stay there till March & I hope to be
able to write a little.

Mrs Murray had a gathering of all the little Molteno children on
Monday & I went over. Lucy Moltenos eldest little girl Lucy is so
strangely like Betty – in appearance & character & manner. This
afternoon Lady Innes is giving a big garden party to the suffragettes.
Over 100 are coming; but the day is fearfully hot & I fear will rather
spoil it, though it will not be so hot under the big trees after four.

I am much better since I came down here, quite another person. My
flesh shrinks when I think of the anguish of de Aar.

Dear, write please – tell me about yourself.
