Dear Laddie

I don’t write because I know how full your time is.

I enclose a note, part of a letter of Adela’s about you & Oliver.
Please destroy when read. I hope she will see Oliver. I’ve been
telling her so much about him. Since her baby’s birth she has got a
little stronger & is able sometimes to see folk. I wish she could see
my beautiful little Ursula too. How I wish I was living in England &
could take Ursula about, show her people & life, take her to see all
my friends; & life at the East & West End both. She would learn far f
more than in a finishing school. But here I am tied to old South
Africa

Good bye my Laddie. I want to write you a real letter some day, but am

^not up to it now ^
You little sister
Olive

^Mrs Drew has just wired me she is passing tomorrow I am going to try
to get to the station to see her. ^

I’ve only managed to get out of the house twice in the month I’ve
been here, but shall soon pick up now the glorious cool weather is
coming.
