4 It was delightful to see you, dear Mrs Murray. But I did feel
5disappointed there was no one to meet you. I would have made you stay
6to supper but I had only cold lamb, & I knew you would get a nice hot
7dinner at the hotel. I’m beginning to work with my calabash, have
8filled it with milk & stood it near the kitchen fire.
