Dear Laddie

My thoughts are always with you I am only so sorry that being so busy
you won’t have much time to write & tell me how things go. Tell Dot
she must write to me giving me all the news of all your doings. Of
course there are reports in the papers, but I believe nothing I see.

Adela is very ill, quite confined to her bed & room so I fear you will
not have seen her.

You will I hope meet some of my old friends while in London. Remember
me to Sir Charles Dilk. He ought to have been Prime-Minister by this
time. Hes exclusion from office has been one of the most hypocritical
& evil things England has done - & has told heavily against her. He is
just the man we have needed.

//I don’t suppose you have seen Con Lytton, she has gone to Austria
with her mother & brother, but may be back by the time this reaches
you. Malan gave a very fine speech at a Meeting of Woman’s League
last week.

Did you seen the notice in the S.A. News saying Fan had only gone home
with you in the hope that the "sea voyage" might benefit her health!!
"There are liars, damned liars, - & newspapers."

Cron says he thinks that letter your wrote to the Queen’s Town
people through Bissett the finest thing you ever wrote or said. It has
a very fine tone, & tone is every thing.

Hearty greetings to Dr Abduraman & Jabavu.
Good bye my Laddie
