My dear old Laddie

My thoughts are always with you; but I’m not up to writing much. I
do hope Grey Town is not ^so^ too hot as Petermaritzberg which they say
is very terrible. I feel anxious for the old heart with the heat & all
the strain & stress of the trial.

All my heart is with thee
Olive

Cron has just lost £95 through a Boer called Naudè, who bought
cattle for from him at a sale, but has nothing & is an insolvent.
Don’t mention it in writing to Cron as he feels very sore about it.

To-day is the birthday of the old man at Eastbourne, dead but never
forgotten. It’s our Dot’s birthday too.
