Dear Friend I do wish so you & Miss Greene would go & see the friend
to whom the enclosed letter is sent. Please post it to her, whether
you go or not.
She is a widow with some lovely & charming children for
whom she lives. She paints wonderfully. Her husband also was an artist,
a dear friend of mine.
Don’t ask Alice Corthorn to take you. She is just as unconventional
as you ^are. You’ll love her.^
I’ve just had a wire to say Cron’s mother passed safely through
the operation. But as Cron is staying on till Wednesday I fear she’s
still in danger.
We are going to Mrs Johnsons.
Address Eastbergholt, Tamboer’s Kloof Rd, Tamboers Kloof. We leave
on the 17th. Have you met the Purcells in London? Have you been to see
Mrs Lawrence?
Good bye dear one
