Dear Fan

Thank you so much for the photographs. They are simply splendid.
Will’s large one & yours are simply the best you’ve ever had taken.
They are just as good as they can be. Ursula’s in the group is also
much better than any she’s ever had taken.

Have you had any news from our travellers yet? Dr Purcell wrote to me
the day they were going up the ^English^ Channel before they landed in
England. He said my darling friend had been very ill all the way, not
able to eat a mouthful or to walk, & was very weak. I am very anxious
about her: it does seem to me such a foolish thing to have started off
in her condition, but I hope all will yet be well.

Cron & I had a lovely little trip to the Bay show, spending five days
there. It did me much good; I have been much better since I came back.
Cron is coming next week from de Aar to spend Sunday with me.

Good bye, dear. Love to all of you, & so many thanks for the
photographs.
