Dear old Fan

So glad of your news & to hear all is still going well with you. I am
so sorry to hear about your poor old Harry. Tell him I send him my
love & hope he will soon be quite strong. I wish I could be at home to
see the rejoicings when your two come back. We are expecting dear old
Dr Brown tomorrow. He will come in the morning & go away in the
evening again! The Purcells are now at Natal. Little Walter was laid
up for ten days at Johannesburg with influenza, & she dislikes
Johannesburg as much as I do.

Good bye dear

But I

^have no money to come. ^

I am working hard at my book to try & earn some, but those publishers
are so bad I may get nothing after all.
