Dear Friend

Thank you for your sweet letter. Oh what should I do without you &
Miss Greene.

Yes, if Cron goes to Parliament perhaps I will be able to come & join
you somewhere. Perhaps we could go to Kat River, Miss Greene knows how
beautiful it is, & I’ll show you all the places I played in when I
was a child. I have always thought it would be so beautiful to go
there with someone I loved

The doctor says what I have had has not been typhoid, it has been
severe influenza with heart & kidney symptoms. Such a funny thing
happened to me the other day, I got up from the bed feeling very
dizzie & went to light the stove to make my self some tea, I
couldn’t.

Good night, dear one. I do hope you are really getting stronger.

^Cron says the people don’t seem to know how to do enough for him. He
is having a very good time. He is in Beaufort now at the Kriels, but
goes to Prince Albert Rd on the 29th. I will send you his speech^
