4 Have just returned from Pretoria. Saw ?Nasy at the Smuts’ where I
5stayed. He’s grown into such a fine promising man. The Smuts’s are as
6fond of him as if he were a brother. I had a very very happy time up
7there & was so well. Am so glad I went. None of the papers give an
8adequate account of the funeral. A happy Xmas to you all.
