Dear dear Friend

I am going to post this this afternoon so you get in Friday before you
sale on Saturday. I feel so sure you are both doing the right thing. I
do still feel anxious about your health. I only hope the voyage with
the curious mental rest it brings ^to some people^ will do you good. I
don’t think you ought any of you to stay very long in England. Have
you thought of a little trip to Holland? You would both find it very
interesting I think. You might see the Reitzes & other of our people
there, & also the painting-galleries are so interesting. It was so
very sweet of you to want me to go with you but you know I can’t.
Cron has not returned from Cape Town yet as he is holding a sale at
Hanover Rd= just to day. He wrote me a note from Cape Town this
morning in which he tells me that by Will’s advice he has has
offered de Villiers £20 compensation for damages. If he refuses to
accept it it will have to go to the Supreme court; but Will "thinks
very hopefully" of the case.

It is a beautiful day here, one of the best I have ever known in
Hanover – in winter, so peaceful & calm. It’s on rare days like
this that I think how nice it would be if we could go & sit on the
sunny side of a kopje.

All good be with you my dear dear ones. You will I know, let me hear
as soon as possible just exactly how you both are. Ask Miss Greene
specially to let me know she finds Helen in health.

Yours ever & ever
Olive

P.S. Your dear heart must not feel anxious about me in any way, my
cough is much better with the warm still weather the last few days, &
everything is going on all right.

I shall never mind about the people in Hanover or what they feel or do
anymore. You know it’s so nice that when once ^one^ really gets to the
point where you don’t care, you never do again! It’s the getting
to that point that takes so long. My dear little Kaffir boy is so good.
Only little Neta is very ill. I am afraid the big swelling she has in
one breast is cancer.
