Dear Friend

Thanks for your letter: all is going well with us. The cheque reached
me all right. I wrote to thank for it. The two little boys for whom
you once sent clothes have been sent to an industrial school; they
started last week.

Neta has for sweet little pups; one exactly like her. She has been in
awful excitement about them ever since they were born yesterday
afternoon. She never leaves them, but this morning early she did such
a touching thing. Rushed into my bed room, jumped on my bed, began
licking & caressing me, then jumped off & ran back to her pups in the
out house. It was as though she said "I’m not forgetting you. I’ve
just come to say that."

^Write & send me the university list of the Matric please as soon as it
comes out. We are not allowed to see the Cape Times till it is three
weeks old, but if the list were put in an envelope & marked university
list I should get it. Two of my nephews are going up.^
