Dear Fan
I got here this morning. There will they say be no chance of getting
news from the station till next Saturday evening. What may not have
happened between last Monday night & then. Please write to me
sometimes. If I find I can’t Netta here as there as there are a great
many big dogs would you mind my sending her down to you while I am
here. I will get her as soon as I am in a place were I can keep her. I
know she will be an awful trouble, but I don’t know what else to do. I
keep her chained up in my room.
Thanks so much dear old sister for all your goodness & love towards me.
You are always in my mind. Good bye my love to all: if I feel more
fit tomorrow I’m going to write to Will. Logan & the lowest & most
miserable crowd of people I have seen since I left Johannesburg
^were in the train with me.
