Dear Fan,

I’m sending you Will’s to me, in case it should have any news
he’s not had time to give you.

I’ve got letters from Dr Corthorn Lady Constance Lytton & her cousin
Adela Smith (she used to be Adela Villiers when she stayed with the
Lochs) they all want to do all they can for our little girl, & to have
her to stay with them.

I am sending her a letter of introduction to some old & dear friends
of mine, a Professor Roberts & his wife at Cambridge whom I know she
will like, & who will I’m sure love her.

I am sorry to hear there are such floods of rain in Cape Town, as it
will make it very damp when we go down. I fear I shall only be able to
stay a few days. It is pouring here, day & night; we never see the sun
the vley round the town is like a river.

Good bye dear old sister
Olive
