Legend
The Project is grateful to Manuscripts and Archives, University of Cape Town, for kindly allowing us to transcribe this Olive Schreiner postcard, which is part of its Manuscripts and Archives Collections. The name of the addressee and the address this postcard was written to are on its front, although the card was not sent. Schreiner was resident in Hanover from September 1900 to October 1907, after 1902 with visits, sometimes fairly lengthy, elsewhere. The postcard can be approximately dated by reference to other letters about purchasing a stove. See her self-addressed postcard (Olive Schreiner BC16/Box11/Fold2/Undated/6), for sending information about the stove to her.
