Schreiner was resident at Porchester Place from early April 1917 until August 1920, when she left Britain for South Africa.
1All good wishes for the new year dear one. I hope Lucy will get home
2in time to spend Xmas with you. The dear dear child will be very glad
3to be home. Betty is still in Cornwall with Alice Greene. She sends me
4a card every day. Miss Greene is now so weak she can only be moved on
5a stretcher. Much love to you all
