3Dear old Sister

5I was knocked all of a heap by hearing Dot was married. Do, do write &
6tell me a little about him & the wedding & what is going to become of
7Dot. Where are they going to live? From their marrying so suddenly I
8think they must be going off some where. Tell me your plans. Will Bill
9& you go go to Villa Flandre. I wish I was in Africa with you all.

11Did Dot meet him for the first time on board ship. If he’s an
12Australian I can quite understand her falling in love with him, for
13they are most fascinating. Its terrible to have to wait four weeks for news.

15The weather here is worse than I ever knew it in England Snow & fog &
16rain & intense cold. It was snowing in Kent this morning & all France
17is buried in snow they say.

19Are you all at East-cliff? Does Oliver thrive. Tell Ursie she must
20write & tell me about the Colonel.

22It will have been a blow to you to find dear old Purcell had gone. My
23darling Anna will miss him so. I can’t think of Africa with out him.
