Dear Fan

It was sweet of you to send me the wire. I am so glad Will has tried
massage. That & electricity are the only things that will really help
him. I believe rightly use they might almost cure one. I don’t believe
if I could have got him to try electricity & massage he would ever
have broken down I know Dr Parker believes in them.

It has been the most terribly hot day I ever knew in London.

I could not get to Ursies till 7 o’clock this evening. I found to my
surprise that Dot had been there for a few minutes, & Sidney was just
going off to join her at your flat & take her off to dinner Ursie &
the baby looked splendid, & the dear nurse was as sweet & smiling as ever.

You must not think of hurrying back because of Ursie dear, I will
write & let you know every day how she is getting on. She looks just
splendid. Her temperature is quite normal & all going well nurse says.
She was not torn at all, or injured in any way.

Give my love to my old brother, & to the Parkers. Don’t hurry back to
this awful heat.
