Dear May

Thank you deeply for your letter. Always let me know exactly how my
brother is. Please let me know if you could get a pretty cheap room
for me near you. Could I have the one Miss Brackenbury had? But it
must not be very hot. I don’t mind the second floor I could sit down
on the stairs.

I have long known how serious Will’s condition was. I wrote a year
ago to Dot & told her how very ill he was. Only a heart person knows
what the agony is. If I A come don’t let Will think I’m coming
because I think he’s bad. Say I want a little change for myself; I
could go to one of the hotels, but walking is difficult for me, I’d
like to be near. I shall of course say nothing to Ursula.

Dear drop me a line. Why I dwell so on the drives is because how
strangely driving has helped my mother, my sister Ettie, my sister
Alice & my self for the same trouble. It’s marvellous. My sister
Ettie would seem dying & when we drove her out her colour whould would
come back, & she’d rest & eat a little. My brother Fred found the
same help from driving. When possible f take him up to the top of the
gold course: take some brandy & leaf tea with you. Let him sit in the
motor a little & look about.

Good bye darling. My love to you both
Olive
