8I’ve never written to thank you for the delightful time I had at
9Crowborough – the only little bit of real brightness in a long line
10of dark. One’s better for all the joy one’s had even when its past.
11 I’m a little bit anxious about your not hearing from Ol, because
12he’s so thoughtful about writing, but no doubt you’ll hear to-day.
14You’ll miss your girls. It’s quite sad to think of you two alone:
15but you’ve got them somewhere which is something.
