Dear old Man

I’ve never written to thank you for the delightful time I had at
Crowborough – the only little bit of real brightness in a long line
of dark. One’s better for all the joy one’s had even when its past.
I’m a little bit anxious about your not hearing from Ol, because
he’s so thoughtful about writing, but no doubt you’ll hear to-day.

You’ll miss your girls. It’s quite sad to think of you two alone:
but you’ve got them somewhere which is something.

My love to you
