My dear Alice
I couldn’t stay at Hampstead it was too damp, so have come back here.
I got a sweet note from Mrs Greene & she says she is coming to town
next week.
This afternoon Ted Molteno is coming to see me, & I shall perhaps hear
some news of you.
I wonder if you saw Cron when he was in Cape Town. Oh I long so to see
him. I some times feel I can’t bear it.
Yours sisters Hellen & Eva came to see me. It was a joy. Eva is
exactly as I pictured her. Hellen is so like you I almost embraced her.
I am going out next Sunday to have lunch with them. Polly is if
possible to be there too. Isn’t Eva sweet. The wicked German is not
always so vile!
Ted Molteno comes to see me nearly every day. Mrs Murray is coming
next week.
^The weather is beautifully sharp & cold & I am much better^
