I hope to hear soon that the operation has done you real & permanent
good & that the dear eyes also are much better. I have been here only
four days but am out delighted with the place. My treatment began this
morning & seems to promise well. I am astonished to find this place so
lovely; it is really buried in a lovely forest among the hills. I like
There is beauty which ever way you turn. My brother Will is staying
here too. I had a most lovely voyage voyage over from England. The
heat in London had been very great & I was very unwell there. I feel
so grateful I left & came here. The air here is beautifully cool
tonight as it is raining – later it may get very hot, but it is
lovely now.

Please give my love to Mrs Murray & May, & Kathleen. I hope May is to
be married soon & I may see her in London.

P.S. Please be sure to send me May Murray’s address if she marries &
comes to England By mistake my letter was not posted last week. I have
now been here just two weeks to day. The cure seems helpful, the baths
certainly are delightful. Give my love to Betty & Miss Greene. How
does baby grow. She promised to be so interesting with that fine
forehead.
