De Aar
Wednesday
It was delightful to see you, dear Mrs Murray. But I did feel
disappointed there was no one to meet you. I would have made you stay
to supper but I had only cold lamb, & I knew you would get a nice hot
dinner at the hotel. I’m beginning to work with my calabash, have
filled it with milk & stood it near the kitchen fire.
Did the girl give you the little bunch of violets I sent? Tell Anna
how nicely they grow.
I am so glad to see you looking so young & well. I can’t believe
Betty looks younger.
Thine ever
Olive Schreiner
^The calabash is working beautifully already.^
