4 Dear Friend I do wish so you & Miss Greene would go & see the friend
5to whom the enclosed letter is sent. Please post it to her, whether
6you go or not. She is a widow with some lovely & charming children for
7whom she lives. She paints wonderfully. Her husband also was an artist,
8 a dear friend of mine.

10 Don’t ask Alice Corthorn to take you. She is just as unconventional
11as you ^are. You’ll love her.^

13 I’ve just had a wire to say Cron’s mother passed safely through
14the operation. But as Cron is staying on till Wednesday I fear she’s
15still in danger.

17 We are going to Mrs Johnsons.

19 Address Eastbergholt, Tamboer’s Kloof Rd, Tamboers Kloof. We leave
20on the 17th. Have you met the Purcells in London? Have you been to see
