4 Dear Friend I do wish so you & Miss Greene would go & see the friend
5to whom the enclosed letter is sent. Please post it to her, whether
6you go or not.
She is a widow with some lovely & charming children for
7whom she lives. She paints wonderfully. Her husband also was an artist,
8 a dear friend of mine.

10 Don’t ask Alice Corthorn to take you. She is just as unconventional
11as you ^are. You’ll love her.^

13 I’ve just had a wire to say Cron’s mother passed safely through
14the operation. But as Cron is staying on till Wednesday I fear she’s
15still in danger.
