My dear Mrs Goosen

My friend Mrs Haldane Murray has just written to tell me how hard you
are working for us at Cathcart. This is just to hold out a hand of
friendship to you. I know how difficult it often is to start a new
thing in an up-country, but once started, & when our women really
understand the the great good, not only to themselves, but to men &
all the nation, the freedom of women will bring, I believe our South
African women will be even more earnest & successful than others.

I am sending you a little paper by my husband who is strongly in
favour of women's getting the vote.

Yours very sincerely & wishing you all success
