Legend
The Project is grateful to the Sydney Jones Library and the University of Liverpool for kindly allowing us to transcribe this Olive Schreiner letter, which is part of their Special Collections. The year as ‘1893?’ has been written on the letter by an unknown hand. Schreiner was in residence in Matjesfontein from early March to the end of May 1893, and left it to sail to Britain, arriving mid May.
