Dear Mr Unwin,

I have just heard that Vernon Lee has been very ill & is quite broken
down in health. Do you know if this is true, & where she is as, I
should like to write to her if it is so? She is one of the most
valuable women we have. I should feel it a kindness if you could send
me a card in reply, if it is true. Please excuse my troubling you

Yours faithfully
