Dear Havelock

It is damp here in a way, but so mild & smooth; nothing raw in the air.
Last night was a sharp frost but today is glorious sunshine.

Which Dr Garrett Anderson is it you mean, the mother or the daughter??
It is not Sylvia Pankhurst who is attending that meeting: she is for
peace, & she helped to save Germans at the East End when they were
attacked. She’s a fine woman It is Crystabell who works with her
mother. They are both women I shrink from intensely. They have lost
nearly all their suffragette following so they have had to take up war
to keep themselves before the publiclic. Allmost all the suffragettes
went with the Pethick-Lawrences & form now the United Suffragists.

If Miss Hobhoues goes as I think she will the week after next, I shall
have all this house to myself with 6 st bedrooms. Room enough!
