My own darling Friend
How I hope Caledon will do you good & that Miss Greene will find the
baths good. I have not written because for two weeks I have been very
very unfit. I can’t believe I am the same person who was so strong &
well in Cape Town. I had a letter from Mrs Lewis this morning. She
says she will not be able to go to Kat River for fathers body at
present. But I had already taken my ticket to Grahamstown. This
afternoon Cron & I made a nice plan that if you & Miss Greene could
come here about the end of July, say about the 24th of July then he &
I would go on with you & Miss Greene to the Kowie & we could spend a
week or ten days there together. It would be so lovely if you could
come; do think over it. You don’t how happy one is at the Kowie.
Cron & I were ^are^ just like two little children there. He is always so
sweet you will love him so much there.
You might come here for a couple of days rest before we go on to the
Kowie. I long so much to see you both. Miss Greene I know is so
anxiously awaiting letters I am always thinking of her.
