Dear Fan

A beautiful thought has just struck me. I have got my pass from
General Lyttleton to go up to Johannesburg & can go any time. I want
to move into our little cottage first, am not feeling over fit the
last days so think I shall be going in about ten days or a
fortnight’s time. Well wouldn’t it be possible for you to come up
with me? We might meet at Hanover Rd= or you might come here for a day
or so first?

You’ve always wanted to see Pretoria. You would I suppose stay at
Bessie’s. I shall only be in the Transvaal a few day but if you
wanted to stay longer you’d be nearly sure to meet some one you
could travel down with. Give the matter serious thought I suppose your
brother will be gone by that time, but you would enjoy a visit there,
& it would be so nice if we two could go up together. I am travelling
first class because the trafic manager says I can go up with the half
of the old ticket I came ^down^ with three years ago. We might break the
journey at Bloemfontein for a day if you liked to see the place.

Good bye, dear.
Your little sister Olive
