The boy is flourishing. He & Sydney have got a shop this afternoon, &
I am customer. He sends much love, & says he will write to you some
time when there are not so many customers in the shop! I’ve not hear
from Will since he passed but had a note yesterday from Kitty ?Nittin.
She says the Gie’s have a lovely house.

Will you please send me up some of little Will’s games in case of
rainy weather; & if he has it another warm sailor blouse. It is
sometimes very sharp here, & I’m afraid to let him wear his one
thick ^sailor^ blouse, as it might get dirty.

All the people here are very fond of our boy. There are a great many
at table every day, & he behaves so well. I’ve never ever had to
find fault with him. We are going for a little picture on his birthday
in the afternoon. I don’t think I shall be coming down till the 29th
at the earliest as I’m rather afraid of the damp in Cape Town at
this time of year & want to start pretty well. I had thought of coming
to stay a bit with dear old Keetje Silke before I leave but the couple
of days I’m there I shall be so busy getting ready, & seeing people
who call to say good bye, that I’m afraid I should only be a trouble
& no pleasure to any one. Tell me a little news about yourself
