This comment is written on the back of an envelope, sent from Alassio; the date has been derived from its postmark and the address and addressee it was sent to are on its front. Schreiner stayed in Alassio from late October 1887 to February 1888 and from early April to May 1888. The letter which the envelope once held cannot be established.
