Dear Mrs Wilson

Please send me a word by the girl if you are still all right. If I
could be of any use, any comfort to you by coming & being with you at
any time please let me know. It would be such a real pleasure to me to
come & be with you. I wish you had your mother or sister here. In such
times of weakness & pain one feels such a curious clinging to the
women of one’s own blood.

Don’t trouble to write now if not feeling able. Just send word with
the girl. If she says you are all right I shall know your time of
trouble & joy has not come yet.

Yours ever
Olive Schreiner
