1Dear Mrs Sauerlander

3I shall not need the pudding, & fruit again – but I am going to make
4myself some sour milk, like the Kaffirs have. Could you tell the girl
5to bring me up every morning early when the new milk comes, instead of
6coffee or tea, a large glass of quite fresh milk ^in a jug^ so that I
7could pour nt it into my sour milk bottle. And if she could bring me
8up another large glass when the fresh milk comes in the afternoon. It
9must be fresh milk if old or wild milk is put it in it spoils it. I
10always take it at home instead of meat & other heavy things.

12I’m so sorry to be always troubling you.

14I shall be out all day at my brothers, but if they would put the milk
15in my room, in a jug I will put it in my bottle when I come.
