6 Dear Mrs de Villiers

8 Thank you so much for your letter. My health is so uncertain I might
9not be able to come on the 29th & now Mrs Steyn is in town it seems to
10me it would be so good if you asked her to open it. So many would be
11anxious to come to meet her, & perhaps see the President; who
12certainly to my mind is the man who played the most heroic part in the
13war, where many played such noble parts. If I am still in town I shall
14certainly come, if at all able to see the exhibition
