Dear Dr Brown

I saw Ray & Julie this morning. I was delighted with them both. If I
could buy, Ray I should do so & keep her with me all the time. Julie
reminds me of you --- so you may guess I’m drawn to her. I do hope
we shall see you both before we return to South Africa, if we ever
both of us do.

Ray will write you about Alassio.

Sir W Broadbent says my heart has broken down entirely so our plans
are just now uncertaint Do you think it would be a good thing for me
to try Maloja in the Engadine 6 ^5^ thousand feet high? I am always well
as soon as I get high in Africa? I can’t go back to Africa just at
once on account of the voyage
