My darling Lucy

I don’t know what you must have thought of me the other day at the
library. I had foolishly walked up all the way from Cartwright’s
corner, & was in such pain I didn’t know what I was doing almost.
I’ve never been to the library since.

I do hope you are all keeping well. You know Margaretta Purcel has
typhoid, & all the children I know seem to be ill.

Could you perhaps give me the address of that Catholic Hospital where
Peter was nursed, & tell me the charges. Was it very expensive

Our dear party from England arrives to-day I see. I do hope Freddy has
stood the voyage well Please give me any news of them you can, as I
fear it will be some time before I see them.

Its beautiful to think you are living somewhere in the world, dear.
