Dear Lucy,

A happy New Year to you all, & a joyful Xmas. I think so often of you,
but am not able to write much. Give my love to dear Ted if you see him.
Oliver is away fighting in Mesopotamia. My brother had a letter from
him last week, but it is two months old. Dot is still nursing in
France & has signed on for another 6 months, till next June.

Ursula is living with her parents here, there is no hope of her
husband having a holiday till next February, when he will perhaps come
over from France for 10 days. Its hard for the dear little woman.
Every week we hear of more of the men we know being killed. Percy
Lewis
is very ill in hospital here, with a shattered leg.

I have some hope my darling May & Freddie will come to London when
George Murray come over for his holiday. I love them both so much.

I’ve no other news, dear.

Good bye. Thank you for all your wonderful love & kindness to me in
the past.
