6Thank you for your wire. It was good of you to send me such a full one.
7 I hope we shall have direct news from him soon. Does the officer whom
8you saw know just the nature of the wound. Is the bone much injured,
9or the un sinew cut, or is it a flesh wound entirely? I wonder if Dot
10or Ursula will be able to get to him? I believe only one relation is
11allowed to go. Will he come home soon do you think? I do h I feel more
12at rest about him than I have done for some time now I know he is safe
13in hospital Strange that it should come to that! If only he has not to
14go back.

16I know you’ll let me know when you have further news. The dear boy
17will have been brave wherever he was. Its always the sweet gentle
18creatures that show the most courage in spiritual or physical war.
