4Dear I did enjoy yesterday evening so. I am much better for being here
5in this fine clean air. I feel as if I’d got to heaven after a
6little bit, after the experiences of the last two months. I went for a
7little walk in Kensington Gardens just before lunch & saw crowds of
8the most beloved little smoky London sparrows being fed by some men.
9They gathered right about their knees, jumping up into the air to
10catch little bits of bread. The trees looked lovely with the leaves
11fallen off them. This is like paradise after the weather & the
12conditions of the last days. I hope Ursie feels better
