Dear Lucy

I was so disappointed to hear you had been. I had just gone to a house
next door for ten minutes, & missed you. I told the servant to tell
any one who came I should be in at once, & to ask them to wait, but
the other girl answered the door.

I shall try to come & see you again before I go to Muizenberg I doubt
if I shall be able to stay there. I may have to go back to de Aar.

Good bye dear
