6 We leave tomorrow early, dear, this is our last night. I think I was
7never so sorry to leave a place. I have a stick in my heart when I
8think I shall never see the Falls again. I have never had the same
9feeling to any material object a mountain or river – much as I have
10loved many – I seem to feel a kind of personal relation to it. Its
11alive, not dead. We have had a splendid time in all ways. On Wednesday
12Tuesday morning we had a rather great experience which I will leave
13Fan & the girls to tell you of. Curiously enough it only makes me love
14the Falls more.

16 This afternoon we went to Livingstone by train, had tea at the club, &
17came back for our last look at the Falls

19 I’m so splendidly well dear. I’m simply astonished at myself.
