Dear Ray

A very happy birthday, & before another comes may another dear little
life be nestling in your mother arms. Send me just a post card soon to
say how you think our dear one looking. I am so grateful to little
Mollie & Janet too for bringing so much joy into that dear life.

All good be with you. Hearty greetings to your husband. Tell him I
wish him many happy returns of your birth day.

^Yesterday was my little baby’s birth day, & to-day she died 13 years
ago. Does it seem strange to you that I seem to possess her still? But
we women have that nine long months of absolute possession of which no
man knows any thing. ^
