6 Mrs Brown has written to me to say how much she would like Dr B- to be
7on the University Council. Could you do anything to get him on. He is
8a member of the Cape University & has many good degrees in Europe. He
9would tell you more if you wrote or sent him word to drop in some
10evening. But of course you may have some one else you think better.
11I’d like him so to have the interest. He’s so strong & well & his
12life is empty.

14 I’m very sick dear. I’ve gone back & back since I got here

16 On Monday Cron is going to de Aar for a couple of months & I am going
17with him but if I can’t stand the sand & heat I’ll have to come
18back here. Oh Will take care of yourself, take care of yourself! You
19don’t know dear what may come to you at last.
