My dear Friend

I have just got your card saying you likely sail tomorrow. My heart as
been unreadable bad & I have not been able to write any letters of
introduction to my friends ^in England^. But you will have so much to
see & do for a long time, you would not be able to use them for some
time. I feel as if I had always a great ball of lead in my chest & yet
it throbs though its so heavy.

Little Neta remains the same. I am so glad you are going, no one who
does not belong to the 17th century would willingly live here I think
unless they could live on a farm. I am sure your change will do you
both much, & it may be that you will stay in Europe.

Good bye, my beloved friends. We are having fine weather now. My dear
husband is well, & I think happy & busy with his work.

All good be with you both.
