Dear Hannie

I am most distressed because Cron is coming next week, & I can’t
hear of any boarding house in town where I can get an upstairs room.
It will be so hard not to see him after he has been away so long.

Do you know of one ^a boarding house perhaps^ up Kloof St way where the
people are not too great jingoes, & where I could get a good room. If
you do please write me dear.

I suppose you are quite full up? If you could have let me & Cron have
that up stairs room it would have been so nice, because it’s so
terrible now to be among jingoes, but I suppose it was only empty
because of the holidays.

Good bye dear. The Transvaalers are not all dead yet.
