Thanks for letter You oughtn’t to take all the trouble about the
jelly. I know how busy you are now. I shall love to get Dorothy’s
picture.

The jelly didn’t come to-day but its sure to tomorrow. It will be so
nice to see you when you go up to Kimberley, even for a minute. I was
going up there this month to stay with friends if I hadn’t been
taken ill. I’m such a miserable wreck I don’t want to go any where
now.

I’ve got out of bed today for the first time for 17 days. Thanks
much for your kind invitation. Some how I don’t feel that I ever
want to go to Cape Town again till I leave for England.

Remember me to Mrs Kato if you see her. I like her so much.

It’s so sweet of you to think of sending me the jelly. You are so
good.

Isn’t ridiculous my having measles! The first ten days I thought it
was brain fever & kept sponging myself in cold water as soon as the
temperature got over 102 to keep the fever down. I think that’s what
made me so bad.
