7eighteenth of Nov. I’m sorry I can’t be there for my Dot’s birthday.
8I’ll only be in town two days but I feel I long so to see you & the
9children.

11 How are you my darling little sis.

13 Will’s note to me was not written in very high spirits, he was wishing
14to start for you & the little ones, but it may be doing him good all
15the same. Lady Loch & Lady Lytton & her daughter came up to spend two
16days with me. It was very delightful. I send you one of Lady L’s
17letters to me & one of her daughters, but don’t show them to any one,
18& return them. I love Lady Loch very much, but Lady Lytton is even
19sweeter & much easier to get to know. I’m longing so to see our baby.

24 ^Its been so bitterly cold & rainy down here; I’m longing so to get
25back to warmth.^
